R&B singer De'Semaj was born in The Bronx, NY on August, 4th 2000. Being raised around music and entertainment, De'Semaj quickly found her calling. Like most aspiring artists, her first stage was entertaining her family and friends as a child. She was only 3 when she would perform in her first talent show. Following in her mother's footsteps, she would grow to love singing and performing immensely. Being a young fan, De'Semaj, vowed to be a singer and entertainer like her mother.
Her family would eventually relocate to Kingstree, SC in 2007. She continued her education and passion for music and performance. While missing her birthplace of Bronx, NY, she would reminisce about the music and arts, the food and culture, and the lifestyle. She would soon channel her big city influences and land the lead roll of Annie, in the stage play "Annie" at W.M. Anderson Primary School in Kingstree, SC.
Wanting more excitement and opportunity, her family would then move to Charlotte, NC. De'Semaj would continue to pursue her passion for performing, winning first place in her 10th grade talent show. Graduating in 2018 from Northwest School of the Arts, De'Semaj knew that she wanted to focus professionally on her craft.
